"o dhot" ?

Now that I have meant to be a more regular writer here's the weekend incident. After an early dinner at "falafal drive-in" we decided to stroll a bit before heading home, especially booboo and her car sickness. Don't know if it is claustrophobia or motion sickness as of now, but has been quite a chore to disassemble the car-seat, wash and reassemble and fix it back.

Booboo is pretty inquisitive and points to pretty much everything she sees around and and asks "o dhot?" meaning "what's that?" . She points to either something that she does not know about or things that she knows and cannot recollect what's it called. Things that she does not know about after one has replied to her "o dhot" she repeats and says "aaa.."

She could not memorize the name "tombo" - kiki's friend one of the Japanese DVD she watches regularly and would point to the DVD cover and ask "o dhot" ?  When replied "tombo" she is extremly delighted to recollect. After a couple of iterations now she knows and points and says "tombo" with a big smile, almost expecting to be applauded!!

On our stroll, while she was on papa's shoulders all high and happy, she pointed to the building across with a giant lettered name and asked "o dhot" to papa.  Papa responded as tree or light but she kept asking "o dhot"? Then papa said oh! that "AMC Automobile and Co", she replied immediately and said "no, its ABC" !!

She recognizes letters and any letter for her is "ABC", wow! u dont need to be a grown up to trick papa!

Booboo megalomania

Now that my little one knows she's an entity by herself,  she is most keen to introduce herself to strangers, she says "imm booboo" and refers to her belongings as this is "boo's blim bla", it is "boo turn", "boo's (s)poon" etc........

Recently when I was back home after work, the first thing she asked me was "where's boo papa?" I was stunned and this continued when we saw a grandpa feeding an infant at ikea, she asked me "where's boo dada"? now she pretty much refer's to everything as  hers! she is the center of the universe and everyone/everything belong's to her.

The "done" game

Me and blogging a big na na! shud have been the obvious choice in the internet savy trade I am in, but i have always resorted to the binders, just the resistance to change. I have always wanted to write so my lil one can live her baby years as seen by her mom, especially these first few when the art of memory is still being honed. At 18months she has maybe a week worth of memory.

I was to add these baby years to my hand written journal not until while I was driving this morning when this strange urge to blog arouse, not to speak of the colloquial precious baby years the joy, the warmth in a mom's life, but what has intrigued me most of these yonder years.

Here's to exemplify one. At about 15 months, after giving my lil one a warm bath, I would leave her in the bath tub filled with "pumpa" (her baby language meaning water) where she would play and talk to herself, it was her timeoff from mommy and diapers. She could stay in this world of hers for ever. I would periodically go check on her and ask her if she was done. After a few done's I would pick her up out of the bath-tub. This was a routine for days, when not so long ago she stunned me. My lil one is an early bird, the first one to be up at home. One of the mornings as usual she was up and yelled out loud at mom - "DONE??" with a questionable look, with a commanding expression "isnt it time u were up???" Wow, well said. I would have never been able to use my little vocabulary of merely 20 words so effectively !!! the human brain how it learns to corelate.... I am wonder struck!

This art of applying pieces of information, I belive is what makes the human brain and I bet the IQ?
